Why join the ICF?

Coaching is one of the fastest growing professions and is unregulated. Anyone can call themselves a coach. Making a choice to join the ICF and get an ICF credential will set you apart from the pack and lets people know that you take coaching seriously, and you are highly invested in your own personal and professional development.

The ICF has developed Coaching Core Competencies which are the gold standard of coaching and form the expectations of professional coaching and are critical to demonstrating a competent level of coaching.

The Associated Certified Coach and the Professional Certified Coach Credentials let people know that you have attained the rigorous requirements set out by the ICF and are professionally trained and have demonstrated a proficiency in coaching the ICF Core Competencies.
